Leadership and creativity in Kurdish language and literature studies, striving to be a scientific and cultural reference that contributes to reviving linguistic heritage and enhancing cultural communication, while achieving comprehensive quality standards alongside counterpart Kurdish language departments in higher education and scientific research.

Mission

Preparing specialized, scientifically, and educationally qualified cadres in the field of Kurdish language and literature, capable of meeting the needs of educational and cultural institutions through a stimulating academic environment that supports rigorous research, preserves linguistic identity, and promotes values of pluralism and cognitive openness.

Goals

Academic Excellence: Graduating students who master Kurdish language skills (reading, writing, and speaking) in a solid scientific manner. Scientific Research: Encouraging innovative studies and research in the branches of linguistics and comparative Kurdish literature to serve the academic library. Community Service: Supplying educational institutions (kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, literacy schools, and media institutions) with highly efficient linguistic experts and translators. Preserving Heritage: Studying and analyzing Kurdish manuscripts and literary relics to link the past with the present and establish cultural identity. Technical Development: Integrating modern technology and digital tools into teaching the Kurdish language to keep pace with global developments in linguistics. Scientific Partnerships: Enhancing academic cooperation with language departments at the University of Kirkuk and other universities within and outside Iraq to exchange expertise and knowledge.
