Vision
Developing students' historical knowledge through in-depth study of different historical eras, and connecting the past with the present to understand the transformations of human culture and its specializations, thereby contributing to building historical awareness that strengthens identity and belonging.
Mission
The department adopts a scientific approach based on the tools of criticism and historical inquiry, and relies on developing a historical sense that enhances the understanding of reality through lessons from the past, and qualifies students to contribute to the development of society.
Goals
1. Preparing scientifically and pedagogically proficient teachers holding bachelor's degrees. 2. Preparing a select group of outstanding history students from the department to complete their postgraduate studies. 3. Training history teachers in schools on developments in the field of history education. 4. Conducting research and studies in ancient, modern, and contemporary history to enhance related research.
