Vision
The vision of the Turkmen Studies Department at the Open Educational College is to provide distinguished academic education to graduate specialized educational and research cadres. It aims to enhance the Turkmen cultural identity, achieve language proficiency (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), and advance towards educational leadership locally and internationally using the latest methods. Furthermore, it seeks to build a knowledge bridge connecting different cultures, focusing on the quality of scientific research and innovation in teaching methods to graduate a generation capable of competing in the international labor market.
Mission
The mission of the Turkmen Studies Department at the Open Educational College is represented in studying and researching the Turkish linguistic and literary heritage, preparing competent specialists and teachers, and contributing to the reinforcement of cultural ties. It also aims to disseminate written and oral knowledge, which is considered a fundamental pillar of Turkmen culture, with a focus on phonetics, inflectional suffixes, and the history of literature. The most prominent aspects of the department's mission and academic focus include: 1- Research and Study: Studying written and oral products in Turkish language and literature. 2- Academic Training: Qualifying teachers and specialists in the field of language and literature. 3- Resource Development: Providing enrichment resources for students to enhance their understanding of the language and its literature.
Goals
1- Linguistic Proficiency: Enabling students to master the Turkish language and its four skills to reach a level of academic and professional professionalism. 2- Literary Studies: Introducing students to the history of Turkish literature and its various eras, from ancient Ottoman literature to modern and contemporary literature. 3- Scientific Research: Encouraging scientific research in the fields of comparative linguistics, Oriental studies, and shared historical studies. 4- Community Service: Providing consultations and linguistic services to government and private institutions that require expertise in this field.
