Within the framework of the Open Educational College's vision to celebrate and honor the language of the Holy Qur'an, the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Amer Lutfi Abdul Karim, Assistant Dean for Center Affairs, and Dr. Firas Taher Hussein, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, attended the annual festival organized by the Arabic Language Department at the Karkh Study Center, under the supervision of the Center's Director, Professor Dr. Anis Mohammed Jassim.
The festival featured various activities, starting with the national anthem, a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an, and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq. This was followed by a speech by the Dean, in which he congratulated the organizers for their efforts, emphasizing the importance of honoring the Arabic language as a vessel for culture, thought, and human values. He stated that it is not merely a means of communication but a significant historical heritage that has preserved great scientific, cultural, and literary achievements for the Arab nation, wishing the organizers continued success.
The Director of the Center then delivered a speech welcoming the Dean's visit and praising his support and interest in organizing scientific festivals. Following this, various activities commenced, including literary speeches and theatrical performances by students of the Arabic Language Department. Additionally, an exhibition of Arabic language books was inaugurated, highlighting the beauty of the language and its role in building human civilizations; the exhibition included books authored by professors from the center's Arabic Language Department.
Later, the Dean presented appreciation certificates and shields to the Center Director, his assistants, and distinguished professors of the Arabic Language Department. The Dean then conducted a tour of the center to oversee the progress of the teaching process, praising the efforts made in this regard and wishing everyone continued success and guidance. It is noteworthy that the festival saw a wide attendance of the center's professors and students, who expressed their happiness with the Dean's visit, appreciating his keenness to attend such fruitful scientific events.
