In a majestic national scene, Al-Ma'moun University hosted the central celebration organized by the Iraqi Teachers’ Syndicate (General Center) on the occasion of Teacher's Day. The event was attended by the Head of the Teachers’ Syndicate, Mr. Adi Hatem Al-Issawi, members of the syndicate’s central administrative body, directors-general from the Ministry of Education, and a wide elite of educational and teaching staff.
The occasion witnessed the presence of the Dean of the Open Educational College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, representing His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed Jassim Al-Asadi. On behalf of the Minister, he delivered a speech expressing the Ministry’s great pride in the teacher’s mission, emphasizing that the Iraqi teacher has always been, and remains, the fundamental pillar in building human character, creating awareness, and consolidating national values.
Furthermore, he received an honorary shield on behalf of the Minister, in a moment that highly embodied the appreciation for the pioneering educational role and reinforced the teacher's status as the cornerstone of the development and reform journey.
This participation came as an affirmation of the Ministry of Education’s continuous support for the teaching community and its keenness to maintain communication with academic and syndicate institutions, in a way that serves the educational process in Iraq and enhances the status of teachers in society.
