Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri, and with the supervision and follow-up of the Dean of the Open Education College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, the college is preparing to hold its second scientific conference, entitled “Foundations of Development and Means of Change,” on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, in the Teachers Syndicate Hall – General Center, with the participation of a select group of academics and researchers.
In this context, the assistant deans held a preparatory meeting with the conference committees. The meeting was chaired by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Firas Taher Hussein, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Israa Talib Tawfiq, to discuss organizational and academic aspects and finalize arrangements to ensure the conference's success and the achievement of its scientific and educational objectives.
The conference is being jointly organized by the Open Education College and the Iraqi Teachers Syndicate, in cooperation with the College of Education for Humanities – University of Basra, and Al-Ma’moun University College. It will focus on improving educational performance through contemporary visions and applications that contribute to the development of curricula and teaching methods.
This conference is an important step in the journey of the Open Educational College, as it contributes to laying solid scientific foundations that support the modernization of the educational process and enhance the college’s position as an active academic institution in supplying the educational sector with solid research and studies, keeping pace with the latest developments in the field of education.
