Under the sponsorship of the Dean of the Open Educational College, Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, and with the follow-up of the Director of the Rusafa Center, Dr. Nizar Karim Javad, and the Head of the Mathematics Department, Professor Dr. Sadeel Adel Fattah, the Mathematics Department held its First Scientific Festival on April 22, 2024, under the slogan "Mathematics: A Window to Cognitive Sciences."
The festival featured distinguished, highly accurate, and well-organized scientific activities, supervised by Dr. Mona Mohammed Moloud. The event saw the active participation of prominent faculty members who enriched the festival with their exceptional works, alongside the participation of the department's students—particularly the fourth-year students, whose graduation for the academic year 2023-2024 was celebrated on the sidelines of this splendid festival.
