Al-Karkh Study Center organizes a festival titled ((Our Language: Magic and Eloquence)) on the occasion of World Arabic Language Day.

Under the patronage and in the presence of the Dean of the Open Educational College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, and under the supervision of the Director of Al-Karkh Study Center, Professor Dr. Anees Mohammed Al-Mashhadani, the Arabic Language Department at Al-Karkh Study Center held the "Language of Dhad" festival under the slogan ((Our Language: Magic and Eloquence)), in celebration of World Arabic Language Day and its cultural and civilizational status.

The festival commenced with a blessed recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem and the reading of Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs. The Director of the Center then delivered a welcoming speech, expressing his pride in hosting this cultural festival. This was followed by a speech from the supervisor of the Arabic Language Department, Dr. Zainab Muhsin Najeeb, who emphasized the importance of the Arabic language and its pivotal role in consolidating cultural identity and enhancing civilizational belonging.

The festival program included meaningful theatrical performances and distinguished poetry recitals by several students from the department, reflecting their pride in the Arabic language and highlighting their literary talents and creativity.

The event was attended by Professor Dr. Mohammed Jafar, the former Dean of the Open Educational College, Professor Dr. Amer Lutfi Abdul Karim, Assistant Dean for Study Center Affairs, and Professor Dr. Firas Taher Hussein, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, along with a number of faculty members and students.

The festival concluded with the honoring of the Dean of the Open Educational College, his assistants, the former Dean, the Director of Al-Karkh Study Center, and the supervisor of the Arabic Language Department, in appreciation of their sincere efforts in supporting scientific and cultural activities and enhancing the status of the Arabic language within the academic community.
