Within the framework of the Open Educational College’s curriculum aimed at enhancing scientific and cognitive communication with academic and social activities, and in implementation of the directives of Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, Dean of the College, regarding the necessity of expanding the horizons of cooperation and exchanging academic expertise with state institutions;
The Quality Management and Institutional Development Division at the College Deanship, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports / Department of Youth Culture and Arts / Psychological and Social Rehabilitation Department for Combating Extremism, organized a workshop titled:
(Intellectual Extremism and its Impact on Youth)
The workshop was held at the Continuing Education Center in the late Professor Dr. Sanaa Latif Hassoun Hall.
The workshop aimed to consolidate the culture of peaceful coexistence and enhance awareness of the dangers of intellectual extremism, based on the principle that confronting extremism is not limited to the security aspect alone, but represents an intellectual battle that begins with the family and school and extends into the digital space.
The workshop witnessed a distinguished presence of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, who emphasized in his speech the importance of integrating educational and institutional efforts in confronting the phenomenon of extremism, and supporting scientific initiatives aimed at fortifying youth intellectually and behaviorally.
A number of faculty members and staff from the Open Educational College also participated in the workshop.
