In accordance with the directives of the Dean of the Open Educational College, Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, regarding active participation in cultural, social, and academic forums, seminars, and competitions, two faculty members from the Arabic Language Department at the Karbala Study Center—Assistant Professor Dr. Saeed Hamid Kadhim and Dr. Sabah Al-Tamimi—participated in judging the cultural competition titled "Umm Al-Barakat."
The competition was organized by the General Secretariat of the al-Abbas Holy Shrine and focused on two main tracks: Narrative and Theater, and Vertical Poetry (Al-Qasida Al-Amudiya).
