Within the framework of the Open Educational College's curriculum for enhancing cognitive communication and developing academic skills, and in the presence of the Dean of the Open Educational College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, under the supervision of the Director of the Karkh Study Center, Professor Dr. Anis Mohammed Jassim, and with the follow-up of the supervisor of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Ms. Alaa Mohammed, the ceremonies of the first scout camp were launched. Organized by the department in cooperation with its professors and students, the camp took place on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
The ceremony featured various activities, including the Iraqi flag-raising ceremony presented by the department's students, the playing of the national anthem, and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq. The event also showcased handicrafts created by the students, in addition to activities performed by school pupils who were trained by the department's students.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Dean expressed his thanks and appreciation for the clear efforts made by the organizers, reaffirming his support for such productive activities and wishing everyone continued success. For their part, the center’s professors and students expressed their happiness for the Dean's presence at their ceremony, thanking him and emphasizing their commitment to continuing the enhancement of scientific initiatives at the center. This activity reflects the Open Educational College's dedication to developing the mental and physical skills of its students and fostering social relationships with various community activities.
