In an atmosphere of pride and dignity, the Abu Ghraib district witnessed on Friday the inauguration of the Open Educational College branch. The ceremony was attended by Member of Parliament Mahmoud Hussein al-Qaisi, the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, and the Director of the Abu Ghraib Education Department, Mr. Saad Hassan al-Arsan. Also in attendance were Assistant Professor Dr. Amer Lutfi Abdul Karim, Assistant Dean for Study Center Affairs; Dr. Firas Taher Hussein, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs; Professor Dr. Anis Mohammed Jassim, Director of the Karkh Study Center; and Dr. Hazem Mohammed Hussein, Director of the Abu Ghraib Study Branch, along with a group of prominent academics and educational figures.
The ceremony opened with a speech by MP Mahmoud Hussein al-Qaisi, in which he emphasized the pioneering role of the Open Educational College in enhancing education and supporting teachers. He noted that the opening of the new branch is a significant step in expanding the scope of educational services, particularly in remote areas.
For his part, the Dean of the College explained that the opening of this branch is part of the college's plan to provide an educational environment that keeps pace with educational developments and supports teachers in enhancing their skills and job performance. He also stressed that the new branch will contribute to providing comprehensive educational programs and distinguished training opportunities for teachers.
The ceremony included a tour of the new branch building, which features classrooms and administrative offices designed to facilitate academic workflow and ensure the comfort of students and faculty members.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, attendees expressed their appreciation for the great efforts made to complete this project, emphasizing the importance of continued work to develop education in various regions.
