In implementation of Cabinet Resolution No. 23044 of 2023, and the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Education regarding the electronic collection of government dues, the Open Educational College, represented by its Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Anees Mohammed Jassim Al-Mashhadani, signed an agreement on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, with the International Smart Card Company (Qi Card). This agreement facilitates the electronic collection of dues from students and graduates, in accordance with the Central Bank of Iraq's instructions.
According to the terms of the agreement, the company will provide its services free of charge until December 31, 2023. Additionally, it is committed to training college staff on all aspects of the service and ensuring the provision and deployment of all necessary POS devices and related equipment.
Dr. Al-Mashhadani praised this step, noting that it aligns with high-level directives to adopt electronic payment systems within the specified timelines. This initiative is expected to eliminate routine bureaucracy and ensure the swift and smooth completion of transactions for all parties involved.
