Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Ibrahim Namis al-Jubouri, and based on the direct directives of the Dean of the Open Educational College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, in cooperation with the Iraqi Teachers Syndicate, and in partnership with the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra and Al-Ma'moun University College, the Open Educational College has completed its preparations for the second scientific conference.
Under the slogan "Foundations of Development and Methods of Change," the conference is titled "Improving Educational Performance - Contemporary Visions and Applications." It will be held in a hybrid format (both in-person and electronically) at the Mansour Melia Hotel on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
The conference themes include several topics aimed at advancing the scientific and academic fields. These themes cover research on government programs contributing to educational development, human and social sciences in the digital age, total quality and modern visions in developing education, and the employment of Artificial Intelligence in human sciences. Other themes include the future of educational security and societal challenges, syndicate work and its future challenges, blended learning and future necessities, and modern education and sustainable development.
Among its intended goals, the conference seeks to present the latest academic and applied studies, identify the most prominent challenges facing the educational system, exchange expertise and knowledge among specialists, and formulate strategic visions and effective approaches for educational reform. It also aims to support educational and academic institutions with various proposals, analyze modern models in teacher preparation, and discuss future trends in curriculum development and evaluation. It is noted that the committees formed to supervise the conference have begun their work in preparation for its convening.
