In an effort to strengthen scientific cooperation between educational institutions, the Open Education College received a delegation from the Ministry of Education on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The delegation was headed by Dr. Ammar Awad Mutlaq, Director of the Scientific Promotions Department at the Ministry, and included several members of the Sub-Committee for Scientific Promotions at the Directorate General of Education in Diwaniyah Governorate.
The delegation was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, Dean of the Open Education College, in the presence of Dr. Firas Taher Hussein, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and the Director of the Continuing Education Center at the College.
The meeting was characterized by fruitful dialogue and a shared vision. Both sides discussed ways to develop the scientific promotion system to enhance academic performance and solidify the principles of fairness and transparency in evaluating scientific endeavors. An agreement was reached to prepare a unified guide to promotion procedures that facilitates understanding of the regulations and standardizes the adopted criteria. They also explored avenues for cooperation in organizing scientific conferences and seminars that contribute to disseminating knowledge, exchanging expertise, and fostering a spirit of partnership among educational institutions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of teamwork and integrated efforts in serving the educational process, stressing that sincere cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the Open Educational College is the best way to raise the scientific and academic level of our educational staff.
