In this context, the Dean of the Open Educational College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, emphasized that the National Digital Library represents "the state's cognitive mind and the guardian of its scientific memory," serving as a fundamental pillar for supporting scientific research. He stated that the college is in the process of launching its own electronic library to serve as a supporting tributary to the National Library by making the academic output of its faculty and researchers—including books, research papers, and university theses—available across all scientific fields, thereby enhancing regulated electronic publishing and expanding the national knowledge base.
He noted that this direction aligns with the college's vision of building a sustainable knowledge environment and strengthening the presence of Iraqi educational research in the academic sphere.
For his part, the head of the follow-up committee, Dr. Odai Abid Shamkhi, explained in an interview with "Al-Sabah" newspaper that the National Digital Library represents the state's cognitive memory and an important pillar for supporting researchers in the era of digital transformation.
