In accordance with the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Namis Al-Jabbouri, regarding the necessity of allocating independent buildings for the Open Educational College branches across all governorates, and through fruitful cooperation with the Governor of Diyala, Mr. Muthanna Al-Tamimi inaugurated the new building designated for the college's study center in Diyala.
The Governor emphasized the governorate's keenness to provide an appropriate and fitting environment for this college, praising the efforts of the Deanship and its continuous communication over the past period.
On the other hand, the Dean of the Open Educational College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Anees Al-Mashhadani, thanked the Governor of Diyala for his cooperation and his commitment to the success of the college's scientific and academic mission. This mission aims to elevate educational staff to a scientific level that contributes to providing schools with specialized expertise, thereby raising the academic standards of students in Iraq in general, and Diyala Governorate in particular.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Anees Mohammed Jassim Al-Mashhadani added that the Deanship has established a policy focused on securing independent buildings for all centers to provide a university atmosphere befitting the college, its staff, and its students. He noted that this success was achieved through concerted efforts, led by the Minister's directives and the cooperation of the Governors of Diyala and other provinces.
It is worth noting that since its establishment twenty years ago, the Diyala center had occupied various buildings in Baqubah, which had complicated administrative work and hindered certain requirements for both professors and students.
