The Open Educational College celebrated the Day of the Dad (Arabic Language Day) in a central ceremony held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Ibrahim Namis al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, in the presence of several deputies and assistants.
The ceremony commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha for the souls of Iraq's martyrs, and the playing of the national anthem in an atmosphere filled with pride and belonging.
This celebration comes as an affirmation of the pivotal role of the Open Educational College in elevating the status of the Arabic language as the language of the Holy Qur'an and a fundamental pillar in preserving the nation's identity and its cultural and scientific heritage.
