This morning, Tuesday, June 10, 2025, the Al-Sharqat branch of the Open Education College welcomed His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri. Among those receiving him were Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmed, Dean of the Open Education College; Dr. Firas Taher Al-Abdali, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs; Assistant Professor Dr. Musa Abdul Darb, Director of the Al-Sharqat branch; and Dr. Shamil Jamil Khalaf, Assistant Director of the branch. The branch's teaching and administrative staff were also present.
The morning meeting included the following topics:
1. A welcoming address by the Director of the Al-Sharqat branch, in which he reviewed:
– Statistics on students and faculty members.
– The branch's most significant achievements, along with current challenges.
– Future plans to develop the branch's performance and enhance the quality of education.
2. Directives from His Excellency the Minister of Education, in which he emphasized the importance of supporting educational staff and the necessity of improving the educational process in Iraq in general, and in the Al-Sharqat district in particular.
3. The speech of the Dean of the Open Education College, in which he renewed the Deanship’s commitment to supporting its branches and centers, and its continued keenness to provide the best educational services, with the aim of raising the academic level of educational staff in various regions.
