About Us
Open Educational College
A government educational college affiliated with the Iraqi Ministry of Education, operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Established in 1998, it aims to enhance the quality of primary education by preparing competent university-level teachers. It grants a Bachelor's degree in Education, equivalent to those awarded by Iraqi universities under the Ministry of Higher Education. The college focuses primarily on admitting male and female teachers and staff within the education sector. Its graduates are permitted to apply for postgraduate studies in Colleges of Basic Education at Iraqi universities after completing a scientific consolidation course.

Qualifying teachers through flexible, contemporary, and high-quality educational programs that contribute to consolidating the values of citizenship and sustainable development, and building an effective educational system to prepare competent teachers who meet the needs of the educational field.
Objectives
Raising the academic level of teachers to obtain an initial university degree that enhances their educational and pedagogical competencies. Enhancing college performance and ensuring quality by continuously improving and updating the quality of academic programs. Developing human resources and transitioning to a comprehensive and integrated electronic management system. Activating scientific research by providing the appropriate environment along with human, financial, and moral support. Improving infrastructure and student services in line with sustainable development goals to foster a stimulating learning environment.
